A New One in Cuba

by Helena
(Everywhere)

Just wanna tell you, it's true, many times this happens.
But not always!

I am Cuban, a young woman, I don't live in Cuba, Iravel a lot since time ago,
I got it working hard, not sleeping or making lies about a fake love.
My boyfriend and I meet out of Cuba, he is Spanish and I love him, I don't need to be
with him to get anything, I got everything I wanted alone, and trust me, many Cuban
people got out of Cuba by working hard, not only faking love, and I say to all this
people mostly men, don't expect if you are a 65 years old guy that a girl 30 years
younger will love you because you are the best guy she ever had.
If you don't wanna be a victim, don't take advantage of peoples bad situations, there
are more victims when all this foreigners arrive in my country wanting to do everything
they can't do in their countries. Start respecting yourself first and than you can talk
about it.

Cubana in Spain NEW
by: Anonymous

This comment is to support the young woman who wrote of how she has worked hard and been successful in Spain on her own. Not all Cubans leave Cuba through marriage. Some are sent abroad to work and their salary is paid to the Cuban government. They are paid considerably less than the people they are working beside, they are often away from hime working months and years at a time and they are harrasssed and have their possessions confiscated at the airport when they do get to go home. Some decide to escape their jobs and seek refugee status. They must stay in a foreign country by themselves with nothing. They are usually punished by not being allowed to return to Cuba for 3-10 years or more to visit their family and lose all their possessions in Cuba. If the young woman in Spain did this she is very brave and has made many sacrifices and hard work for her freedom!

If it was me..
by: Anonymous

I am a canadian citizen and love cuba, even though of living there until I read everything on this website. I completly agree not saying it is fair but I don't blame the cubans at all! I mean who doesn't want a better life for themselves? If it was me , who knows i would probably do the same. If a man is dumb enough to loose so much for a nice piece of culo, well sorry... And congrats to people who really did find true love ! Those cuban men are truly hot but Im not gonna marry one to bring to Canada!

It's not a bad deal, working in those hotels.

If they get into trouble for being a jintera, they get put on cleaning duties, or they move to the hotel next door, where they are free to carry on with their ways.

After that, they go to work in Havana, which is their final destination before shipping off to Canada or Europe. It just comes down to how many pingas they are willing to suck to get there. Every move will be funded by gullible yumas, who in return receive lies and broken promises.

Cubana outside of Cuba?
by: Anonymous

Many jinteros eventually scam their way out of Cuba, frequently to Canada, the UK or Spain on the back of a gullible yuma. I don't believe for one moment that any of them were so completely unable to find a partner within Cuba that they need to find somebody from those countries. If so, then what the hell is wrong with them, personality wise?

I see them all the time. Macho Cubano assholes and dolled-up jineteras, thinking that they've made it because some sucker paid for them to leave Cuba. I know that Havana and Varadero are often mentioned on this site, but the Cayos are just as bad. No wonder the dancers at the Melia Cayo Coco eventually got kicked out the Villa Azul; probably because they spent so many nights chatting up tourists in the adjoined disco.

I was fortunate in that my jinetera wasn't particularly intelligent, so many of her lies were obvious bullshit. Towards the end I decided to just string her along to see how far she would take things, and of course, she took the bait. These people truly are unreal, completely lacking in anything remotely resembling morals.

Your Story Does Not Ring True
by: Anonymous

You say you are a young Cuban who travels a lot, travels abroad. Made money, are successful

How come?.

When the Cuban government allows it's citizens to travel overseas they earn a basic wage, subsitence level.

I have known Cuban doctors and musicians who have travelled, but under the auspices of the Cuban government and all found it so difficult to live abroad when having to exist on the poverty line. I have known world famous musicans who sell maddive of records

Frankly I find your story hard to believe. You are no different to the sad old men and women on here who delude themselves they have found love and who met Cubans who made a living on their back.

You managed to find a way out of Cuba via marriage to a Spaniard.

But please come off your high horse condescending to others as if your story was a special case. It is not.

Had you not met your Spaniard you would still be living a hand to mouth existence in Cuba.

so true
by: Anonymous

Thank you for this. I think that the older women and men complaining they got duped need to look hard at themselves and not blame the Cuban. It should be obvious what is going on when the age gap and the looks gap is so very obvious. They have allowed lust and loneliness to blind them.
