Can I buy cuban currency outside cuba

Is it possible to order CUC (Cuban Peso Convertible) in Spain?

ANSWER by Vic Webmaster Havana-guide.com

NO, there is no trade in Cuc outside Cuba, because the CUC has an artificial value, that does not reflect its economical worth and strenght. The Cuc is (artificial) linked to the US dollar.

You can only exchange your Euro's (or other currencies) for Cuc in a Cuban bank or Cadeca (official Cuban money exchange office) in Cuba. Do not use US dollar in Cuba, the dollar is 10% less worth in Cuba. I see no reason why you should exchange for CUC in Spain, if you can exchange money on the Cuban airports before entering Cuba.
