Can you help me find an address in La Lisa?

by Jenny
(Seattle, WA)

I found your website when researching La Lisa. My family had a business in the neighborhood in the 1950s, and I've been looking for a map that can show me where their business was. Maps of La Lisa are available in Google maps (and other online map services), but they don't have the level of detail of street names as is available elsewhere in Havana, so I can't plot them on any map with any degree of accuracy. The family home was attached to the business (which was on a corner), and I'd love to get a birds eye view of the location, if I can get some help with the streets. Are you familiar enough with the area that you might be able to point me to a spot on a map?
Their business was at
Real No. 22 Esq. A San Miguel, La Lisa, Marianao
Thank you so much!
Jenny

I have searched on several maps of Havana, the problem is that most detailed maps of Havana are limited to the well known central districts such
as Old Havana, Central Havana, Vedado, Miramar etc. But Havana is a big city with lots of suburbs. So I think that the only solution is to check on the spot in Havana. First remark is the address correct? You mention Marianao and La Lisa, this are two different districts, 5 km away from each other. Second remark, 50-60 years ago is a long time, it's not for sure the house still
exists, there is almost no renovation of houses in Havana, many houses are colapsed due to the lack of maintenance. If you really want to be sure you have to hire somebody (in Havana) to check it on the spot or do it yourself.
Good Luck!
