Don't Be an Ignorant Tourist in Cuba!

by Pedro
(Toronto)

Double-Standard?

Double-Standard?

Ignorant means uninformed; it's not a derogatory term. If you are a tourist, and you don't consider that the country you are about to visit has different laws than where you live, you are IGNORANT. You also aren't very clever.

Find out BEFORE you go! You don't get a "get out of jail free" card, just because you're a tourist! Laws were made to protect people. If an underage Cuban (or Thai, or Greek or Korean) national came here and caused an accident that hurt someone, would YOU send them home without issue? Is this kidnapping?

What's so different about this case? A hidden political agenda from special interest groups with something to gain, perhaps? How many comments here are from the Excited States of America, anyway ...
