Happily divorced from a Cuban

Just a little advice my consul gave me (too late), don’t register your marriage in your own country unless your wife/husband wants to live there.
In Cuba a divorce is very easy and you can do it alone (means you do not need your wife/husband by you)
Tell them that you do not live together anymore, that’s reason enough.
Pay the price (less than 1400 CUC), tips are welcome but not expected.
I am happily divorced, when married I only was the one who paid for everything.
Now I am a welcome friend of the house every time I visit Cuba (and that’s often).
