HAVANA MIRAMAR CITY TRIP

CITY TRIP 4 - HAVANA MIRAMAR

Just as the Vedado District has a completely different urban style from the Old and Central Havana districts, this is even more the case for the Miramar district.

Miramar is a Miami style district with large avenues where embassies, international restaurants, large supermarkets, government services and diplomatic residences are concentrated.

The district is separated from the rest of Havana by a river: the Rio Almedares. Two tunnels and a bridge give access to it.

Compared with the other districts of Havana, Miramar has few tourist attractions. The two places of interest are the Maqueta de la Habana, a scale model of Havana City; and the Acuario Nacional de Cuba, where you can see the Dolphins Show. At night you can go to the famous Tropicana Show.

A pleasant place for a Sunday afternoon is Marina Hemingway with its luxury yachts and gorgeous swimming pool.
