HOTEL TELEGRAFO Central Havana

Hotel Telegrafo is a legendary four star hotel with a rich history going back to 1860 and located at the corner of the Prado promenade and Neptuno street, has 63 well equiped and spacious rooms, most rooms with a view over the the Central Park (Parque Central) and the Paseo del Prado. ( new steet name is Paseo de José Marti , but everybody is still using the former name Paseo del Prado)
The bar and lobby area contrasts with the original Colonial Havana style. The hotel has a snackbar and an international restaurant on the ground floor.The service is excellent , but the the restaurant dishes overpriced and below international standards.
The restaurant Prado y Neptuno in front of the hotel Telegrafo on the other street corner of the Neptuno street offers more budget friendly and tastier dishes than the hotel does. One of the major advantages of this four star hotel is its prime location at the lively Central Park ( Parque Central) and close to several tourist attractions , the Capitolio , the Gran Teatro de la Habana, statue of José Marti, the famous cigar factory "Real Fabrica de Tabacos Partagas".
