Please please consider carefully when a cuban man or woman spin you a web of love and dedication it is a load of bull!!! I married a Cuban guy and he is a leech and a cancer for me. I am in the process of getting rid of this violent self obsessed man but it is not easy!!! Does not work expects everything for nothing we have a 3 year old son he cannot even support him, He lies cheats and bullies. When he knows that the crap is going to hit the fan he becomes all nice apologetic and full of love he is a very good ACTOR and LIAR!!!!!!!!!!
Please do not fall in the same trap as me because all Cubans as far as I can see are leeches!! Apologies to the minority of good Cubans but its the slime bags that make foreigners life a living hell!!!!

You stood up to this bully and taught him a lesson.

They do seem to think that the roads of England or Canada are paved with gold, that we are all lving the life of Reilly and have it easy.

They are in for a big shock when they arrive here, and find that they have to work hard in order to just survive. There are no handouts, free housing free healthcare or food rations handed out every month.

I think that the culture can be so alien to them that few settle indefinitely, but they certainly have a reality check.

I agree with what you wrote about Cubans not being so special as they think they are. Most need a good kick up the backside.

I was shocked at how two of my female friends were being treated by Cuban thugs. Some of them really need to be taught a lesson like a spell in prison.

It's the layabouts and loafers and playboys who want out of Cuba and are given the blessing of the Govt. as they know what a burden on any State those guys will be. A doctor or Scientist is never allowed out, unless on an exchange visit that will result in benefit for Cuba in some way.

Last time I visited Cuba I had the best vacation ever, it was Cuban man free.

Myself and some friends booked into a small all inclusive and just chilled on the beach, relaxed, ate and drank and danced.

We did not feel obliged to be buying drinks for some parasite or feel guilty for having more money than them.No expectation from anyone.

It is sad that they earn so little, it takes away their dignity. But I can tell you that a vacation in Cuba free of Cuban men is the best vacation ever. No stress. No hassle, just a chilled relaxed time.

I can highly recommend it to any lady on here.

Annie I wish you the best of luck with your man. Do not take any nonsense. You are a strong intelligent lady who deserves the best for you and your beautiful son. Remember that, and never settle for less than the best!!

I married a Cuban Loser (update)

When I posted this article I decided to throw out this Cuban and it was the best thing I did. I found strength confidence and power from within for the sake of my son that this role model was not wanted for my son. However this cuban got the biggest wake up call he realised the grass on the other side was not greener and the the other loser cubans that encouraged him to be a arse were not there to help him. My son and I prospered and enjoyed life it was great and he realised that I was happier and not pining or needed him.
As time went on he has tried very hard to re-build his relationship with us and it feels like he had a epiphany and realised what he lost. We are re-building again and the transformation is good (still keep my eyes open though)so far so good!!!!
So they can change as long as thet realise that equality is how it works in the western world and not all woman will be dominated by a man.
Stand up to what you believe and not loose yourself, you are worth alot more and that the cubans are not a special breed that can get away with anything!!!!!!!!!!!

Annie, I am so sorry to hear of your horrific experience with this violent man.

I hope you are protecting yourself. Have you reported him to the police?. You can take out an injunction to eject him from your home.

A violent abusive man is damaging to a child, very damaging to his emotional and mental development. So please please protect yourself and your child.

Here in Canada we have agencies to help women who are in abusive relationships. In the UK you can call up Women's Aid who will offer you counselling, and practical help and advise on how to deal with the situation.

You have to get this man out of your life. Have some counselling.

Life does go on, there is a better life for you. One day you will meet a lovely man who deserves you.

Until then, look after yourself, and get rid of this nasty abusive negative man from your life.

My heart goes out to the lady who has been conned by this violent Cuban loser.

I feel the comment in response was a bit harsh. For a start those playboys are extremely good actors. It is all to easy in the warmth of the Cuban summer to believe the B.S. They are so sweet, so tactile, but such liars.

I would warn any woman to think twice before agreeing to marry a man who rushes you into it. For a start you need never marry, if a man loves you he will be prepared to wsit for you, or for you to live in Cuba. He will not just want to quickly leave and have you fork out $5,000 to the Castros who are thrilled to see the back of yet another loser.

Intelligent women lose their head in Cuba. A woman I know who works as travel editor at Elle in London lost her head, and a hell of a lot of money. Her loafer loser has not earned a dime since she impofrted his lazy ass to London.

This dreadlocked loser swans around the salsa clubs of London chasin ass while she is at home babysitting. What a mug.

She has maintained this loser for the last 10 years. Why?. Does she feel because she is older and plainer that it is her duty in life to maintain a Cuban loser? I fail to understand her loss of sanity.

Ladies you can socialise but think twice before being hustled into marriage. It will cost you a fortune and destroy your life and your bank balance. It will bankrupt you.

Do not lose your head or your heart in Cuba. Believe me they are not worth it!.

Why in the Hell would you marry anyone, for any reason, in the first place? Marriage is a legal and financial ball-and-chain. If you love someone, why do you need a piece of paper presented by the government to prove it? Just live with each other. If someone turns out to be insincere or is someone different than they presented themselves to be, then boot them out! No strings attached. I've never been married and never had to deal with this crap you folks on this site have had to deal with. Cant' buy a house without being married? Then don't buy one! Don't get trapped. Don't get talked into something. Don't be forced to do anything. True love doesn't need this B.S. to establish itself. A lot of you ugly men and women get infatuated by these Cubans and the next thing you know, they've duped you. Grow-up! Love is not what's between your legs you morons! Love is mutual sacrifice.
