Money exchange at the airport when leaving Cuba

Can I exchange my cuc to u.s. dollars when leaving at the airport in Cuba. Is the exchange service open for business at all departure flights out of the country. thanks

Normally the Cadeca office,(official State exchange service) on the Cuban airports is open all the time during business hours, but I think that there is a limit these days on the amount of foreign currency you can get back. You can not exchange coins. Best practice is to avoid the exchange on the airports, exchange only the amount of CUC that you need. Don't forget the 25 CUC airport tax you have to pay before leaving Cuba.
