More Love than Common Sense ?

by Pedro
(Toronto)

Let's get real! How many single people on vacation in the tropics AREN'T looking for a fairy-tale love affair? Three? Frequently, common sense takes it own vacation! If you search these next 4 words together: Toronto Sun varadero divorce, you'll see by example.

An apparently honorable individual makes a series of decisions with some part of his body OTHER than is brain, and digs his own deep hole. And when it collapses, it's "not my fault!"

But, there certainly IS a silver lining to this tale of unfortunate senseless ignorance ... at least this man's former partner didn't have the intelligence to make divorce claims against him here in Canada. If she did, she could have half of his "family property" in Canada! Maybe half his house in Canada, too!

In the big picture, he got several trips to somewhere between Nirvana and Paradise (depending on his activities and interests), for $30K. And he still owns his business. Lucky guy!

Moral of the story: Do ALL your thinking with those body parts ABOVE your neck, not BELOW your waist.

PS: Think this same story doesn't happen every day in dozens of other places like eastern Europe, The Phillipines, China, Vietnam, Thailand, etc? Duh!!

I agree with Karen and Anonymous

An interesting topic. When working as a divemaster in Cuba I took some time out in Santiago. A tout led me to Casa Vivien, the view was spectacular and it seemed like a good deal at 15 cuc. I soon realised why.

Madam Vivien was running a brothel.A hypocrite who wore white and claimed to be a Santeria - yeah right!.A Madam more like.

Gennaro from Napoli who had a face like a jowly Raul Castro was at least 70. He arrived with a girl who could be no more than 16. Half an hour later I found her crying the corridor. She said she was 'not a jinitera' but he had not paid for her she needed to get home, she was a single parent.

He argued that he'd bought her dinner the night before and left. He returned with another Afro Cuban, also a single parent. He'd given her a shirt for her son and 10 Euros. I felt disgusted and asked for a refurn of my money.

Viven screamed the room had been reserved for five nights. When I threatened to report her running a brothel she threw my money back less two nights.

In Guardalavaca I saw a 73 year old fat American with a 15 year old beauty who could not speak English.

He'd booked her into the Club Amigo and she looked like his grandaughter. Hotel staff obvious were aware but choose to look the other way no doubt having received a substantial tip.

It is sad that the revolution seems to have morphed into prostituton. Something should be done to protect these young women.

I agree with karen's comment...

<<<< Elderly Italians have a thing about black Cubanas.>>>>

I saw it myself, and yes, it was mainly Italians ( old ones) I was sitting at a bar one night with friends, and this elderly italian had a young gorgeous black cuban gal as his partner, poor thing couldnt speak english, the italian spoke very good english, he was trying to engage me in conversation, ignoring her, making her look and feel like a spare part, my heart went out to her, she looked about 20, you could see the pain and desperation on her face.
Italian 'fren' was trying to chat me up!!!!, and he has this gorgeous girl at the side of him, I know what she was, I also knew what he was!!!!, I then spent time trying to talk to her, as she was like a fish out of water, and I felt sorry for her, but he, the italian treated and spoke to her like a bit of sh&t, and I had to say something, unfortunately for him, he lost his comfort that night, as I convinced her to go home to her family.

I know that she will be back out another night with another despot, but I just could not sit at the bar and watch how he was treating her.

I agree pedro, Cuba hasnt got the monopily on Jinteros/jinteras, in fact Cuba is very tame compared to other countires, but they are learning very fast lol

Sad and shocking But Was He Not Old Enough To See Through This Jintera?
by: Karen

I read the article in the Toronto Sun and saw his picture. Ok he's kind and thought with his heart. But he's a bald elderly man old enough to be her father.

Did he not think thins would have happened to him in Toronto or New York as it did in Santa Marta? Come on!.

Walk down any street in Cuba, be it Varadero, Holguin Guaralavaca, Santiago and you see these chubbly bald Canadian and Iralian grandads with young girls on their arm.

Elderly Italians have a thing about black Cubanas.

I've stayed in Santiago where there was a 70 year old grandfather who had more Jinteros than he had pasta dinners while in Santiago. He paid them 15 cuc. he's learnt his lesson, his last g/friend was in prison from all the hustling she had done.

In Varadero last year I saw a very fat middle aged Canadian pay for a hustler half her age in the Aguas Azules resort. He despised her. Was too embarrased to hold her hand or fight off her advances on the beach. But he was a male whore and had to put up with it. She had purchased him for the week.

Did she look in the mirror and see herself as other saw her?. No.

She is planning to fly this male whore to Montreal where he will dump her as soon as his papers drop on the mat.
