My Love Story in Cuba

My love Story in Cuba

My love Story in Cuba

I went to Cuba after a bad breakup with my boyfriend. I went with some family just for vacation. I met a wonderful guy there and when I left we kept in touch via email and telephone. I went back to visit 3 more times that year and finally we decided to get married. My family had met his family and everyone was happy about the wedding. After that it took 8 months to arrange for him to immigrate to my country. Things did not go well right from the start. He was cold to me and uninterested in my life, preferring to play video games all day.
Exactly 2 months after his arrival he went to visit some other friends-another couple he told me and I couldn't go because I had to work. He was unavailable the whole time he was away so I put spyware on my computer and when he returned I caught him emailing his girlfriend that he had just been with all weekend! I kicked him out and it has been almost 2 years now, but let that be a lesson to you. Once they have decided they want out, they will do and say anything to convince you they are genuinely in love. The whole family will be together in on it because they want a better life through that family member too. It is better for a Cuban girl to be with a male foreigner than it is for a Cuban guy to be with a female foreigner because Cuban men treat their women so bad, they feel like a princess with someone else, but the man will continue to be the egotistical creep he is at home, wherever he goes.

Corrine You're A Nasty Piece of Work!
by: Celine

Corrine I have just read your comment in which you gloated at someone's bad experience.

You refered to the Cuban as a 'male whore'. How are you so sure he was a 'whore'. Were you there?.

You gloated at the woman's misfortune with you quote about 'bull' and 'horns'. You asked if she was going back for 'Round 2' ?.

Why is that any of your concern?. You seem like an angry bitter old woman.

I have read the woman's original post and she seems to be a lot more sensible than you. She has not married the guy or provided him with a visa, she was duped but who has not ?.

Save your bitterness for yourself, and learn from your own mistakes.

Do not transfer your obvious bitterness on to others who are not nearly as 'gullible' as you have clearly been.

Conning/Fraud and Theft Is Never Right
by: Elsa

Corrine it seems you were conned, you appear to be very knowledgeable on the way the Jinitero works.

I would hardly call myself 'gullible'. I did not marry him, lumber myself with dead weight, not did I fly him out and have to maintain him, as many women have done.

I did not feed him or spend on meals for him. I could clearly see he was a con man so I distanced myself from him.

He was in league with the cleaner at my casa and my best clothes all of a sudden disappeared, just before I left, when it was too late to file a police report.

I did send his picture to the Cuban Embassy and Tourism Board so they now have a file on him.

Conned or Freely Given??
by: Corinne K

Re:Elsa,
You say you were conned into given your male whore your personal belonging's,did he steal them or did you personally hand them over???.
If it's the latter you were not conned you gave him permisson to take them so why are you whinning about it?
There is an old saying"If you play with the "BULL" you will get the horn's".
This jinitero seen through your gullability and played you very well-1 for the "Bull"0 for silly Elsa.
Are you going for round 2-lol!!

Enough Rope and they hang themselves
by: Eyes wide open

Am sorry to read your story, its sad, and there are many stories like this on here and other sites, unfortunately we dont even think to read or check until its too late, as in all honesty most people always think it will never happen to them, 'I have a good one'etc

For me, I knew I would never marry him or even think of bringing him over, not because of stories or anything, just because I wasnt ready to marry him or anyone, yes I did love him, but bit by bit he started showing his true colours, and I gave him enough rope and he hanged himself.

Go and read parts of my story on the 'My cuban love story' its in 3 parts lol, so start from my bottom post, I have a couple of others dotted around, I do laugh about it, and think well.... at least my time with him wasnt boring lol.

But on the downside, I have become more harder now, I thought I was a bit of a b1tch then with him towards the end, but I am so suspicious now that I am looking for similarities (spelling) when I go on the odd date, but he was so clever to a certain extent, and even though I knew what was going on towards the end, I still played stupid and let him think he got one over on me, but all the time my brain was working overtime, and unfortunately I am the same when I have had a date, am waiting for the sting, but I know this will pass, and I will learn to trust again. :-)

Tammy You're a Smart Lady! But Those Conmen Should Be Prosecuted For Fraud.
by: Elsa

I am so sorry to read about your bad experience with that rat, con man. What he did to you was criminal pure and simple, deception and you have a good case for prosecution for fraud.

It's shocking to think the level we have to go to in order to catch these con artists out.

Good for you for installing the spyware. Had other victims of Cuban fraud done the same they would have saved themselves much heartbreak, not just emotional, but financial.

I know a man who lost his home to his extremely shrewed Cuban con woman who's now his ex wife.

She had remained in touch with her Cuban lover who's now joined her in Toronto . and managed to con the marital home, as part of the divorce settlement, and the Canadian man is living in a rented apartment following his expensive divorce.

I got off lucky, my ex dropped hints about marriage, but when his mother, grandmother and mother's friend all dropped similar hints on the same topic of marriage, my guard went up. I had a gut feeling he was a con man out to use me.

He conned me out of my nicest outfits, then I heard nothing from him, nada, just a few lines to say he 'still thought of me'.

I will not repeat my reply to him, but I told him where to go.

I do think that legislation against marriage fraud and deception should be written into the constitution of every country and those found guild be jailed and made to return the goods they have gained through their deception.
