Our Lady of Charity Cuba

by Elsa
(Montreal)

Our Lady of Charity - Virgen de La Caridad del Cobre.
Is That How They See Us?

I laughed when I saw the post entitled 'Our Lady of Charity', because that is how the Cuban hustlers see us. A wealthy dispenser of charity. An ever open ATM willing to fund their lazy lifestyle.

Women who travel to Cuba need to wake up. We are not a charity. We do not travel there to be conned, used by lazy men who see us as a walking ATM. Men who despise us so much they play every trick in the book to charm us into thinking that they love and adore us.

When in reality they see us as a stupid white Yuma, ripe for manipulation, ready to be used as a walking ATM. We are seen as their means to a flight, a passport t prosperity. A means to support them and their dependents. That includes the mother of his children, his mom, and his extended family.

Now women have to wise up. See through the B.S. Tell them you are so not into marriage. It's goes against everythng you believe in. It's so old hat. Why would anyone need the Church or State to sanction a union/relationship.

Tell him you are $thousands of dollars in debt, paying back your College loan, your mortgage, have an ailing elderly mom to support.

Then see how long he sticks around.

No Ipod, no cellphones, no sneakers. Nada!!!

Ladies...Our Lady of Charity. El Virgen del Cobre we are most definitely not!!.

Take a hike Javier!! Find another mug.
