Restaurant EL ALJIBE - Havana Miramar
The popular restaurant EL ALJIBE is located on 7th Avenue, between 24th and 26th Streets in the residential Miramar district. This is a nice half open-air restaurant famous for it’s special chicken recipe. I assure you, at El Aljibe you eat the best chicken in Havana, served with rice, platains, black beans, fried potatoes and a salad assortment at a price of 12 CUC.( 15 US$) To North American and European standards this is a fair price, but for the average Cuban it’s half a month’s salary. The service was friendly and fast.
To complete the feast I finished with a seven year old Havana Club rum and an excellent 10 CUC Cohiba cigar.
