safest way to marry a cuban?
How to marry a Cubana?
I'm thinking of playing rusian roulette and marring a cuban girl who i've lived with in cuba for a year and a half and never spent more than one night apart from her, no big age difference and who has always worked as a school teacher and studied in university. But however having read these stories on here i'm having trouble sleeping at night!! If I do go ahead with marriage I want to make sure I'm financially covered wether I marry her in london or cuba or both. Is it possible to get a pre nup in cuba and if not i've heard that I would have to split all assets in half with her and if all my assets are in london and I dont have anything in cuba how can a cuban government enforce that or even know what my assets are if I dont tell them or simply tell them i'm broke?

Don't play Rusian roulette in love affairs it can ruin your relation!
I understand your concerns and it's good you do think about the consequences of a Cuban marriage. You have to know that 70% (official statistics) of all marriages in Cuba end in a divorce and that the Latin culture differs from the Western culture and opinions. Having said this, there are of course many long-term happy marriages too in Cuba.
But it's always smart to protect your assets, you never know what will happen in the long run, I also recommend separate bank accounts. You can FIRST marry in London according to the British legislation and with a British pre-marriage contract stating that all assets before the marriage will remain yours in case of a divorce. Suppose the worst scenario, your Cuban wife can come from Cuba to London ask for a divorce, engage a British sollicitor and claim half of your assets. With a pre-arranged marriage contract following the British laws this move is worthless.
Later you can marry again in Cuba and have a Cuban marriage certificate too. As far as I know a pre-marriage (assets) contract does not exist in Cuba, the case has to pass before the court, and a fifty-fifty decision is possible. So it's wise to leave your assets in London protected by British laws.
Important note I am no lawyer, so don't take this as a legal advise. I strongly recommend to get some legal advice from a lawyer in the UK as well as a lawyer in Havana Cuba.
