In general Cuba has a good reputation in health care. Most tourists can travel to Cuba without special precautions.
Some sources recommend vacination shots for Hepatitis A and B, and H1N1-flu (Swine Flu or Mexican Flu)
Some minor health risks are Dengue fever, this is an illness like flu caused by Aedes mosquitoes. The Cuban goverment has reacted with an intensive campaign to control the mosquito population.(fumigation measures) The risk is under control.
Aids/HIV is a growing problem in Cuba, the use of condoms is strongly recommended.
For the average tourist, travellers diarrhea will be be the main concern. It's recommended to bring anti-diarrhea and antibiotics to Cuba as a preventive measure. Avoid drinking tap water, always drink bottled water.
